Temple vs. the State of Florida

5:00 PM ET

Although it’s a small sample size, Temple entered Thursday ranked fifth in the nation in points scored per possession in games played away from home and faces a Florida State team that thrives when they have length and depth… which they don’t have. season, with only one player averaging more than 8.8 points per game and three players pulling down more than 2.8 rebounds per game.

Temple +5 (Greg’s Handicap Temple -4.5)

Louisiana vs. freedom

5:30 PM ET

Liberty have not been as efficient in attack as in recent seasons. Entering Thursday, they ranked 149th in the nation in points scored per possession and scored 67 points or fewer in regular play in three of their last four games against Division I competition. Now they face a Louisiana team that a season ago led Division I college basketball in opponent 3-point shooting percentage.

Louisiana +13.5 (Greg’s Handicap Louisiana +6)

UT Martin vs. Le Moyne

6:00 PM ET

UT Martin is a completely new team made up mostly of junior college transfers by former Eastern Florida State coach Jeremy Shulman, whose offense is taking time to get on the same page and enters Thursday ranked 300th in the nation in points scored per possession . . The Skyhawks will also play for the second time in two days against a rested Le Moyne team, whose 1-4 record comes with losses against four quality teams, playing within four points against Syracuse to start the season.

Le Moyne +3 (Greg’s Handicap Le Moyne -5.5)

Southern Illinois vs. Florida

7:00 PM ET

In nine games this season, these two teams have scored at least 78 points in all but one game. Southern Illinois has had one of the biggest changes of pace in the country, going from 319th in possession per game last season to 77th this season as of Thursday.

Southern Illinois vs. Florida over 155 (Greg’s handicapped total 163.5)

South Dakota vs. Southern Indiana

8:00 PM ET

While South Dakota’s 5-1 record looks nice at first glance, two of their wins have come against non-Division I teams and they have allowed at least 76 points to every Division I team they have played. I expect them to have trouble defending the perimeter against a Southern Indiana team that makes 37.2% of their three-point attempts.

Southern Indiana +3.5 (Greg’s Handicap Southern Indiana -2)

Mississippi State vs. SMU

8:30 PM ET

Mississippi State isn’t the same team on the glass as it has been in years past, ranking 148th in rebound percentage this season after ranking 28th or better in that category the past two seasons. Now they’ll play their first real road game against an SMU team that ranks 36th in the nation in points scored per possession.

SMU Moneyline (Greg’s Handicap SMU -4)
