    College football scores, results: Georgia holds on to beat Kentucky 13-12

    On Saturday we almost had a big surprise, but in the end number 1 Georgia held on and defeated Kentucky 13-12.

    Saturday started off chalkily with No. 4 Alabama blowing out Wisconsin after Badgers QB Tyler Van Dyke suffered an injury on the opening drive. No. 6 Missouri followed that up with a nail-biting comeback win at home over No. 24 Boston College.

    No. 16 LSU also needed to stage a comeback when visiting South Carolina fell behind 17-0 early. The Tigers did just that, earning a crucial SEC victory when the Gamecocks’ tying kick went wide as time expired.

    In the later window, No. 2 Texas will be holding its breath after Heisman favorite Quinn Ewers suffered an early abdominal injury. Arch Manning stepped in and immediately showed why he was the top recruit in his class, finishing 9 of 12 for 223 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and a highlight-reel TD run in a blowout win for Texas.

    Perhaps the most notable result of the day was another disastrous loss to Florida State.

      UK responds with its fourth FG of the match, cutting Georgia’s lead to 13-12.

      The two-way star does it again, scoring his second touchdown of the day via Shedeur Sanders, this time a catch of 21 yards.

      It took until the fourth quarter, but finally one team reached the end zone in this game.

    • CSU blows chance to cut Colorado lead

      The Rams were inside CU’s 10-yard line after a fourth-down conversion, but CSU running back Justin Marshall dropped the ball and Colorado got it back.

    • What’s the catch of the day?

      Ole Miss beats Wake Forest 40-6, and this touchdown catch by Antwane Wells Jr. is worth watching.

    • Kentucky adds a FG

      Alex Raynor is Kentucky’s MVP today, sinking a 40-yarder on UK’s opening drive of the second half to extend the Wildcats’ lead to 9-3 over Georgia.

    • Texas attack

      Make it four touchdowns on just 12 throws (plus one rushing TD) for Arch Manning since replacing Quinn Ewers. He was pulled from the game after the throw, and third-stringer Trey Owens will finish the game.

    • Landing in Colorado

      The Buffs are back in the endzone on a throw from Shedeur Sanders to Travis Hunter. They now lead 21-3 and the Rams haven’t been able to mount much offense so far in this game.

    • Interception Colorado!

      The Buffs pick up CSU’s Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi deep in his own zone on an errant throw. Shedeur Sanders and company have the ball in the red zone, 14-3.

    • We’re back for the second half of Colorado-CSU. The Buffs looked much more capable after a slow start to the game.
