    Complete list of WCSD school closures this school year, including Election Day

    Because more than twenty schools in Washoe County are used as voting locations on Election Day, there will be no classes for thousands of students on Tuesday, November 5.

    The Washoe County School District is using Tuesday for a staff training day.

    Complete list of Washoe County schools off days for the 2024-2025 school year

    • November 5: No lessons; professional development day for employees
    • November 11: Veterans Day
    • November 27-29: Thanksgiving break
    • December 20: No lessons; professional development of staff
    • Dec. 23-Jan. 3: Winter break
    • January 6: No lessons; professional development of staff
    • January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
    • February 17: Chairman’s Day
    • March 17-28: spring break
    • May 26: Remembrance Day
    • June 6: Last day of school
