Crews respond to wildfire near Vala’s Pumpkin Patch

GRETNA, Neb. (WOWT) – Firefighters responded to a wildfire outside Gretna on Sunday.

According to Gretna Fire Chief Rod Buethe, the fire started around 2 p.m. and ended near 192nd Street and Shram Road around 3:30 p.m.

According to Chief Buethe, the fire occurred on the Vala property, but the fire was located a quarter mile west of the pumpkin patch.

Six fire departments were called to the scene of the fire, including Omaha, Louisville, Springfield, Papillion and Bellevue in addition to Gretna.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
