Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud got a slight bump in the latest ratings update for Madden NFL 25, while Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys and Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets weren’t as lucky.

This was the first update since Week 4. Over his last two starts, Stroud has thrown for 523 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions while completing 69.6 percent of his passes. As a result, his overall rating improved by two points to 85. He saw a boost in his awareness (86), throwing under pressure (88) and poor throwing accuracy (91).

Prescott (89 overall) and Rodgers (83 overall) lost one point each. The latter saw a particularly noticeable hit in its notoriety score, which dropped from 82 to 78.

Prescott wasn’t the only Cowboys player to see his overall rating drop after a 47-9 hammering by the Detroit Lions. Right guard Zack Martin lost two points (95 overall) and cornerback Trevon Diggs is down from 88 to 87.

The Week 6 update shows how Derrick Henry still needs to cool down. After combining to rush for 224 yards and three scores in consecutive wins, the Baltimore Ravens running back ranks 97 overall. Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers is the only running back with a higher player rating.

Like Henry, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (97 overall) and New York Jets defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II (96 overall) also moved toward a perfect rating.

The Jets may now wish they had waited until the Madden update before acquiring Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite not playing due to a hamstring injury, the veteran wide receiver dropped from 94 overall to 92.

Adams lost three points each for releases (94) and route running for mid-range throws (92) and deep throws (91).

The six-time Pro Bowler is on track to play Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, so he might get his Madden ratings back in the right direction.
