Dak Prescott couldn’t believe the Cowboys failed fake attempt

Dad Prescott’s view from the press box wasn’t exactly pleasant Monday night.

The Cowboys quarterback, who was officially placed on season-ending IR earlier in the day, could only watch as his teammates failed to convert a fake punt in the first quarter.

Facing a fourth-and-9, Dallas lined up for a punt, only for Bryan Anger to instead throw a pass to safety Juanyeh Thomas, who was quickly tackled by Houston’s John Metchie III — five yards short of the first-down line .

Prescott could only raise his hands in disbelief.

It was the second failed fake attempt in three weeks for the Cowboys, who need some good news in the middle of a 3-6 season.

Monday’s game got off to an ominous start before kickoff, when a piece of AT&T Stadium’s roof broke off and fell as it was being opened.

No one was injured by the metal waste and it was decided to close the roof.

Once the “Monday Night Football” game started, the Cowboys struggled to contain Texans running back Joe Mixon, who had gained 71 yards and two touchdowns within the three minutes of the second quarter.

On the plus side, quarterback Cooper Rush connected with KaVonte Turpin for the 64-yard touchdown – the team’s first home game since Week 3.
