Former WWE wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista, 55, has lost a drastic amount of weight. Fans were amazed by Dave’s ultra-slim avatar at the premiere of his film The Last Showgirl at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival. Dave Bautista’s Weight Loss

An X user shared two photos of Dave – one from 2022, where he looks quite muscular – and the other from his 2024 TIFF appearance, where he looks extremely lean, wearing a black suit with pearl necklaces and dark sunglasses on the red carpet. The caption read: “What happened to Dave Bautista?”

Other users, however, reasoned that Dave’s physical transformation is not just a result of aging, but also of a change in his profession. “What happened? He was a wrestler and now he’s an actor. Two different stages in his life and he’s doing great,” one X user wrote. “Batista is 55 years old. He should be getting smaller. He’s gradually and naturally gotten smaller over the years muscle wise,” another wrote.

“He is transforming into one of the better actors who lets his work do the talking. He doesn’t just want to wait for action or gun movies, he wants to act. That’s his passion. He was a wrestler, he built his body for that one purpose and now he has lost the weight and the build,” a third comment reads, while another reads out.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Dave spoke candidly about his weight loss. “I’m getting super lean, this is probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19 years old,” Dave said. “The heaviest I’ve ever been is 370 lbs. When I started with Deacon, I was about 325 lbs. For most of my wrestling career, I was about 290 lbs. Now I’m about 240 lbs. And a year and a half ago I went to Knock at the Cabin, I was 315 lbs. And that’s when the nightmare started. Getting that weight off, which has been a challenge. Now I’m very particular about my diet,” he added.

Dave Bautista will soon be seen in The Killer’s Game, starring Sofia Boutella. The film will be released in theaters on September 13th.
