Dave Grohl has experienced a lot of relationship drama in the public eye, including several scandals involving cheating.

The Foo Fighters rocker has been married twice and both times he has been married outside of his marriage. He and his first wife Jennifer Leigh Jongbloed married in 1994.

“When I first met my wife, we went on a few dates and I decided I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling,” Grohl said She in 2007. “After three months, I had an epiphany and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, ‘Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again.’”

The couple divorced in 1997 after Grohl admitted to infidelity.

He moved on and married his current wife Jordyn Blum in 2003. They have three daughters: Violet, Harper and Ophelia Grohl.

In September 2024, the singer again admitted to cheating. In a statement on Instagram, he revealed that he had fathered a daughter outside of marriage.

What his ex-girlfriend said

Snowboarder Tina Basic had a two-year relationship with Grohl in the 1990s. After their breakup, she claimed he was seeing another woman during their relationship.

Basich recalled in her 2003 memoir that Grohl was “busy” when they were dating Pretty Good for a Girl: The Autobiography of a Snowboard PioneerShe cited his career as a point of contention between them.

“I don’t understand how someone in their field can have a normal relationship with a girlfriend…or two, as it turns out,” she wrote. “I found out through the grapevine, when it seemed like everyone in the world knew about it except me.”

Despite attempts to get details from Grohl, the athlete wrote that he had told her “nothing” and had ended the relationship.

“All I got was a five minute phone call from him after five weeks of calling and trying to reach him because I just wanted to know if these rumors were true and hear it straight from the source,” she wrote.

During an interview with The guardit was reported that Grohl “admitted to infidelity, which led to his divorce from his first wife.” No other details were released about his split from Youngblood.

Fathering a child outside of marriage

Grohl announced on social media in September 2024 that he had cheated on Blum and become the father of a fourth child.

“I recently became the father of a new baby daughter, born out of wedlock,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything in my power to earn their trust and forgiveness.”
