Be careful, Cincinnati drivers!

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday. The advisory is in effect for Hamilton, Clermont, Butler and Warren counties in Ohio and Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties in Kentucky.

The weather service advises motorists to use caution when driving through fog. Slow down, use your headlights, and keep enough distance in front of you while commuting.

The fog will clear during the day as the wind begins to increase. Wednesday will see a range of temperatures with highs ranging from 40 degrees in the northwestern parts of the region to 60 degrees in the southeastern parts of the region. However, temperatures drop during the afternoon.

Extensive showers are expected from midday into the afternoon. Wind gusts of around 40 km/h are possible.

Snow showers will move into the area overnight, leading to some snow accumulations, mainly on elevated and grassy surfaces, due to the hazardous weather outlook. Snow showers are expected Thursday morning and Thursday night.

Accumulations of snowfall are possible, especially on elevated and grassy surfaces. Temperatures will only reach 30 degrees on Thursday. Lows will be in the mid twenties to around 30 degrees. Wind gusts of around 30 to 35 km/h are expected.

Rain chances remain in the forecast on Friday, but by the afternoon it will only rain. It will be brisk, with highs in the lower 40s.

Drier conditions will return to the region from Saturday to Sunday, before the chance of precipitation returns to the region next week.

When will it snow in Cincinnati?

The area is expected to see its first snow this week. According to NWS, there is a chance of snow showers around 4 a.m. Thursday, but “little to no snow accumulation is expected.”

There is also a chance of snow showers on Thursday, followed by rain and snow showers with highs around 38 degrees and an 80% chance of precipitation. New snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible.

Thursday: Snow showers, mainly after 3 p.m. High around 37. Windy, with a west wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible.

Thursday evening: Snow showers. Low around 30. Southwest wind 6 to 17 mph, becoming northwesterly after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of about an inch is possible.

Friday: A chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers between 11 a.m. and 12 a.m., a chance of rain showers after 12 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a high near 44 km/h. West wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 16 mph. The chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible.

Friday evening: Chance of showers before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 39. There is a 30% chance of precipitation. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of a centimeter possible.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 54.
