Desmond Howard takes note of it Travis Hunters incredibly 2024, believing the Heisman Trophy is a two-way street Colorado superstar to lose.

On this week’s edition of ESPN College GameDayHoward highly praised Hunter for his play on the field and his personality off the field. He believes that if you look at his entire resume, he is the best option to get rewarded this season.

“Travis Hunter is in pole position when it comes to Heisman candidates,” Howard proclaimed. “I mean, you know, he’s a very unique talent. He’s a unicorn. He does a lot of things we haven’t seen before. Moreover, he gained weight Game day very modest, just enjoyed his energy.

“So at the moment there is still a lot of football to be played, but at the moment I think this guy is in pole position here.”

Like Howard said, there are still a few games left in the season, but it could take a disaster for Hunter to lose his grip on the prize. Now that Colorado is in serious trouble College Football Playoff discussion will only make his case stronger.

The sky is the limit for Travis Hunter, and Desmond Howard recognizes that. The Heisman Trophy might be next, but he also has a chance to be the first player off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft. Time will tell if he will achieve all his goals in the coming months.

Paul Finebaum picks Travis Hunter for Heisman: ‘I think it’s over’

Desmond Howard isn’t the only one at ESPN advocating for Travis Hunter. Paul Finebaum is all in, check out “Paul In” if he wins the Heisman Trophy this season. After another Heisman-worthy performance last weekend, Hunter has the prize locked up.

Colorado improved to 8-2 with a dominant win over Utah and Hunter scored a touchdown and grabbed an interception. He once again excelled on both sides of the ball.

Hunter finished the game with one carry for five yards and a touchdown at the end of the game. As for his regular numbers, he had five catches for 55 yards and three tackles and an interception.

So despite Boise State RB by Ashton Jeanty Best efforts, it’s Hunter’s award: “I’m very Paul-about that,” Finebaum continued Sports center. “I think it’s over. I know there’s still a few weeks left, but in many ways he won the Heisman before the season because we knew how talented he was. It was just a matter of clearing the rest of the field.

“But (last week) I think the Heisman pose was well demonstrated, and he still has a few games left. I don’t think he can do any damage because he’s the best player in college football.”
