Gibbs gets only his third carry of the day, first moving out nine yards and then gaining two yards to move the chains. Gibbs gets his third carry in a row for seven yards, then gets another carry but is tackled by Hooker for no gain. Now it’s third-and-3, as Montgomery gets the first down and scores the first score at the 1-yard line. Montgomery stays in but is stopped by Jeffrey Simmons for a loss of two. Montgomery gets the toss, but it’s a throw to LaPorta for the touchdown! The Lions offense is underway today and Detroit is taking a huge lead. (2:18)

It was a high-scoring affair and the Lions look set to generate turnovers again, with Tennessee starting at their own 25 after a false start penalty. Rudolph finds Pollard short as the running back breaks a pair of tackles for 17 yards and a first down. The Titans take another timeout as the play clock runs out, but when they come back it’s Ridley with another eight-yard catch. Pollard gains a yard on a run up the middle to set up third-and-1. Rudolph rolls out the play-action and finds Whyle, who is tackled low by Alex Anzalone for no gain. Now it’s fourth and one, with Rudolph diving in front for the first down. This drive continues, but Anzalone quickly gets to Rudolph for the sack first. A big screen pass to Pollard is negated thanks to another holding penalty, setting up second-and-28. On the next play, Rudolph tries for third-and-14, while Terrion Arnold knocks the ball away from Ridley for the incompletion. Raymond catches the kick at the Detroit 14, but finds a hole for a 64-yard return. (6:17)

Joseph gets another interception, St. Brown gets a touchdown reception as Lions extend second quarter lead to 28-14

After the touchback, Rudolph drops back, but the pass to Okonkwu is intercepted by Joseph, who breaks a pair of tackles and returns it to the Tennessee 12. After the turnover, Montgomery gets the carry for three yards. Goff has to throw it away on second down but connects with LaPorta diving for the touchdown. After review, LaPorta is called a foot short of the goal line, but Goff finds St. Brown wide open in the end zone for the touchdown as the Lions continue to extend their lead. (11:37)

Khalil Dorsey takes the kickoff from the Detroit 3, but runs down the sideline before being chased by Amani Hooker for a 72-yard return. Lions start at the Tennessee 25 as Montgomery runs for five yards, then Sam LaPorta makes his first catch for a loss of one yard. On third-and-6, Goff’s pass to Kalif Raymond is incomplete, but Jarvis Brownlee is called for both pass interference and facemask penalties on Raymond to set up first and goal at the Tennessee 8. Goff finds an open Brock Wright for the touchdown, and the extra point is good as the Lions regain the lead. (12:51)

Titans end another drive with a touchdown, Lions tied 14-14

Tennessee starts another drive at their own 30, as Pat O’Connor misses the tackle on Pollard, giving him a two-yard gain. Rudolph finds Pollard on the fast lane for a first down, but Chig Okonkwo is called for offensive pass interference. The Titans make amends as Ridley beats Amik Robertson deep before being tackled by Kerby Joseph for a 47-yard gain. Ridley catches the out route for 11 yards and another first down, then Pollard gets the direct snap and throws it to Jackson, who bounces out and runs for the touchdown, but there are two offensive calls to bring the Titans back. It’s first-and-20 as Ridley gets more catches and gains 20 yards on back-to-back plays as that ends the quarter. (End of the first quarter)

Lions regain lead on one play, Gibbs’ 70-yard touchdown gives Detroit a 14-7 lead

After the touchback, it’s first and ten at the Detroit 30 when Gibbs gets the handoff and explodes into the open field, running untouched down the sideline for a 70-yard touchdown run. He has already surpassed his longest touchdown run from last week, and with a good extra point the Lions quickly regain the lead. (3:57)

Goff still gets sacked, Titans respond to tie 7-7

The Titans use their first timeout with 5:33 left in the first quarter, then Boyd makes the catch for five yards on the first down. (4:07)

Gibbs gets a run outside for 11 yards for the first down. On third-and-23, Goff is sacked again by Key and fumbles the ball, which is recovered by Kevin Zeitler for the Lions to punt again. Fox kicks a booming 67-yarder to Jackson, who sends it back to the Tennessee 25. (6:20)

On his third consecutive run, Pollard is stopped by Alim McNeill for a loss of two, leaving third-and-8, as Carlton Davis nearly intercepts the pass. Titans kick it to Kalif Raymond, who makes a 10-yard return to the Detroit 17. (8:15)

David Montgomery gets his first carry since the fumble against the Vikings’ last game, gaining nine yards and 15 after a facemask penalty on Key. Montgomery gets the second carry and takes it into the end zone for the 7-yard touchdown run. Extra point from Jake Bates is good and the Lions take an early lead. (10:31)

Mason Rudolph makes the start for the injured Will Levis, while Tony Pollard takes his first carry for four yards. Rudolph then finds Calvin Ridley for 13 yards and a first down, after which Pollard gains nothing on the next play. It’s second and ten, as Rudolph is pressured by Levi Onwuzurike and throws the ball straight to Trevor Nowaske for the interception! Nowaske takes it to the Tennessee 23 as the Lions have great field position to start their second drive. (11:07)

(Beginning of first quarter) Lions go on first down, but Arden Key gets the blindside pocket on Jared Goff for a loss of seven yards. Goff then throws the ball to Amon-Ra St. Brown for six yards, with Jahmyr Gibbs also receiving a short pass for six yards as the Lions punt. Jack Fox hands the ball to Jha’Quan Jackson, who loses the ball but regains it on the Tennessee 15. (12:57)

Kick-off

The Week 8 matchup between the Titans and Lions is underway. Lions wear their all-blue uniforms, while the Titans wear white uniforms and light blue pants. Tennessee won the toss and elected a postponement, meaning the Lions will start on their own 30 after the touchback.

Foreplay

After a pair of high-profile road games, the Lions return to Ford Field to take on a struggling Tennessee Titans squad.

After beating the Vikings 31-29 last week in a back-and-forth matchup to take first place in the NFC North, the Lions are looking to extend their winning streak to five straight games, which would be their longest since 2016.

They will be without one of their young guns on offense as Jameson Williams is serving the first of a two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy. This is the second time Williams has been suspended in his young career.

More: Here are the Lions inactives against the Titans

Meanwhile, the Titans look for a win to salvage a tumultuous season. Tennessee has scored more than 20 points just once so far this season, and that was before the team traded veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs.
