Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams faces suspension. Again.

According to ESPN’s Eric Woodyward, Williams will reportedly be suspended for two games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy.

Williams was also suspended for six games at the start of the 2023 season for violating the league’s gambling policy when he placed bets on sports at the Lions facility, but not on the NFL, but the suspension was ultimately reduced when the NFL lifted its policy changed. . He missed the first four games of the season.

There’s little doubt about the talent Williams has after the Lions drafted him out of Alabama in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, but the speedy wide receiver has struggled to stay on the field thus far.

He played in just six games in his rookie season while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered at Alabama, then had a choppy start to his sophomore year due to the early-season gambling suspension.

His third year was by far his best with 361 yards receiving and three touchdowns already, but now his progress will be temporarily halted while he serves his suspension.

It has not yet been reported what substance Williams used that violated the league’s protocols.
