Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren leaves the game after rolling his ankle

play

The Detroit Pistons suffered a possible injury on Wednesday.

Jalen Duren rolled his ankle early in the first quarter of their road game against the Charlotte Hornets. He winced as he left the field after a timeout from head coach J.B. Bickerstaff, but returned to the game.

It appeared his ankle was still bothering him, and he did not re-enter the first half after leaving the first quarter with 4:29 remaining. Paul Reed entered the game in place of Duren midway through the second quarter.

Duren has dealt with injuries to both ankles during his three NBA seasons. Last season he sprained his left ankle twice, causing him to miss eight games in December and an additional game in April. He is averaging nine points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks per game this season.
