It’s Week 3 of the NFL season and already people are writing columns about how early it is to panic about Caleb Williams’ struggling Chicago Bears offense. Unfortunately, it’s a traumatic movie that Bears fans know all too well, as Chicago’s anemic offensive line let Williams down on Sunday night against the Houston Texans.

But the most striking result of the Bears’ dismal performance probably wasn’t how inept the offensive line looked. It was the disturbing body language of DJ Moore, with the No. 1 receiver clearly frustrated by Chicago’s struggles.

NFL lip readers zeroed in on a key clip of Moore talking to Bears backup quarterback Tyson Bagent after Williams missed a throw. They believe Moore said something like, “He (Williams) can’t do it.”

It’s not hard to see these words for yourself:

During a routine Monday morning interview on Chicago radio station 670 The Score, Moore was asked to clarify this exchange. He claimed he simply asked Bagent what he saw in the play.

Uh, that doesn’t follow or match the clip at all:

The Bears aren’t necessarily in trouble, but it does feel like they’re on the brink of a crisis with just one more bad offensive outing. Stay tuned.
