Dodgers Expect $73 Million Free Agent Loves Fenway Park; Red Sox must strike

The Boston Red Sox should immediately prepare an offer for a Los Angeles Dodgers slugger (and soon-to-be free agent) who has openly said he loves playing at Fenway Park.

Boston doesn’t have any good hitters in the lineup, and chief baseball officer Craig Breslow needs to address the issue this offseason.

Acquiring a power bat that can offset Boston’s offense is key, and it sounds like the Los Angeles Dodger and recent Home Run Derby champion Teoscar Hernández should wear a Red Sox uniform.

As FanSided’s Eric Cole reported on Saturday, Hernández recently said on the Baseball isn’t boring podcast that he enjoys playing at Fenway Park and appreciating Red Sox fans.

“The soon-to-be free agent recently appeared on a podcast where he once again expressed how much he enjoys playing at Fenway Park and expressed his appreciation for the Red Sox fans,” Cole said.

It is absolutely in Hernandez’s best interest to have as many teams as possible, including the Red Sox, vying for his services this offseason following his strong season in 2024. Boston fans shouldn’t declare victory just yet, especially considering the history of the Red Sox where they fall short when it comes to actually signing players who actually want to get paid.”

“That said, Hernandez has been very consistent in his adoration for Boston as a baseball town for some time now.”

Will Breslow get the resources and the green light from above to go after Hernández?

The slugger is expected to demand $73 per Spotrac over three years, and that amount could rise even further if Hernández’s agent does his job.
