Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa leaves Thursday game against Bills with concussion

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion and was out for the second half of Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Tagovailoa ducked his head and hit Bills safety Damar Hamlin’s right arm with 4:24 left in the third quarter during a 6-yard scramble to Buffalo’s 7-yard line.

Tagovailoa struggled to get up immediately, his arm twisted in an alarming way. He was treated on the court and then walked away under his own power to the locker room.

The Dolphins quarterback, in his fifth season, has a history of concussions, even forcing him to sit out his 2022 season on the injured list due to a concussion.

He was replaced in Thursday’s game by reserve Skylar Thompson.
