DOLTON, Ill. (WLS) — Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard will run for re-election.

Henyard announced this on social media on Wednesday.

Village officials have accused her of financial mismanagement. She is also under federal investigation.

Henyard has denied all allegations. She was elected mayor in February 2021.

Recently, Henyard sued village officials over a meeting.

Henyard is asking a judge to declare Village Hall as the primary location or business and to invalidate all business done at Monday’s meeting and last month.
