Drew Lock to start Giants’ Thanksgiving meeting with Cowboys, Tommy DeVito available in case of emergency

The Giants will have a quarterback change for the second week in a row.

Drew Slot will officially make his first start with Big Blue in their Thanksgiving game with the Dallas Cowboys.

Tommy DeVito was able to get through pre-game warmups, okay, but he will only be available as a third-string/emergency quarterback due to his lingering forearm injury suffered after last weekend’s game against the Buccaneers.

Tim Boylewho signed to the practice squad this week, underwent an extensive warm-up to serve as a backup.

Lock logged just two of his 31 NFL appearances last season while serving as Geno Smith‘s backup with the Seahawks, but he was the best option under center for his first two years in the league with the Denver Broncos.

The Mizzou product has completed 59 percent of his passes for 5,292 yards and 28 touchdowns in his career.
