Dungeon of Doom: ‘Waymo’ power unleashed as Lions find new route to defeat Rams

DETROIT — Jameson Williams was the man to turn when his team needed the electric wideout most, as the Detroit Lions found new ways to beat the Los Angeles Rams from Ford Field.

MLive’s Dungeon of Doom podcast is back with another late night postgame podcast following the team’s 26-20 overtime victory. Hosts Kyle Meinke and Ben Raven discuss the team’s path to victory, Williams’ performance, David Montgomery’s well-timed takeover, and how the Lions were able to absorb some serious knockout shots from Matthew Stafford and the Rams and keep coming out swinging.

“Yeah, listen, I expected him to play pretty well, play better, and he showed up,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said of Williams. “I mean, that was a big game to be able to catch a couple and get through it. And the best part about it was he didn’t even play his best ball. There’s still so much to clean up, but it also shows how much work he’s put in, and he’s improving, and he’s an improved player, and he wants it, and he keeps working at it. And he just keeps, he keeps taking those steps.

“So as long as he keeps doing it, and keeps playing, he’s only going to get better. So yeah, I’m proud of him, I’m proud of where he’s at, but he’s got so much room to keep growing.”
