It was an extra special day for Johnson, who posed with his three daughters — Simone Johnson, 23, Jasmine Johnson, 8, and Tiana Johnson, 6 — and mother Ata Johnson. In one photo, Dwayne Johnson, in an aqua-colored suit, smiles with his WWE star daughter and mother.

Simone Johnson, whose stage name is Ava Raine, has followed in her father’s footsteps after signing with the WWE at the age of 18. The Rock shares Simone Johnson with ex-wife Dany Garcia.

The movie star also took photos with wife Lauren Hashian and their two daughters, who coordinated by wearing dresses in the same Hawaiian print.

Ahead of the premiere, Dwayne Johnson shared a video on his Instagram talking about how personal Moana’s story is to him, his culture and family.

Calling himself a “girl dad,” he talked about how the “Moana” films empower youth and young girls to ask, “What if there’s more beyond the reef that you can’t see? … And that answer is always yes.”

“I’m a proponent of encouraging our young people out there and especially encouraging our little girls and how important that is,” he said.

He also called the premiere a ‘full circle’ moment for him because of his roots.

“I grew up on these islands. When I was a child, this was my home. This will always be a home,” he said, adding that his character in the film was “life-changing.”

Dwayne Johnson will also play Maui in the upcoming live-action version, set for release in 2026.
