Manchester City return to the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening when they take on Sparta Prague at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola and his players have retained their position as the only remaining unbeaten side in the Premier League after another victory this weekend, this time in dramatic fashion through a winning goal from John Stones against Wolves at Molineux.

After falling behind in the match, a stunning first-half equalizer from Josko Gvardiol saw Manchester City restricted by a ten-man Wolves defense, before Stones broke that resolve from a corner in the 95th minute.

As for their opponents on Wednesday night in Sparta Prague, the Czech Republic side are in strong form after the first eleven games of their domestic season and sit in second place after eight wins, one draw and two defeats.

City have welcomed both Nathan Aké and Kevin De Bruyne back to training, although the latter will not feature in Wednesday evening’s match. Kyle Walker is also out due to a knee injury, while Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku missed training on Tuesday.

Ahead of the confirmed team news from the Etihad Stadium tonight, some initial information is starting to filter through social media from journalists and sources about Manchester City’s starting line-up.

According to information from Joe Bray of the Manchester Evening News, who relayed UEFA’s confirmation, 19-year-old Nico O’Reilly has been included in City’s squad list for the visit of Sparta Prague following his absence from the under-19s. Youth league match earlier today.

Pep Guardiola and Lars Friis are expected to confirm their respective starting line-ups for Manchester City and Sparta Prague on Wednesday evening around 6.45pm (UK).
