Early voting begins in NJ. Where can I vote?

It’s time to go to the polls, New Jersey.

Registered voters can cast their votes in person starting Saturday, October 26.

“This new option allows registered voters to cast their ballots in person, using a voting machine, during the designated voting period prior to Election Day,” the state said. “You can now choose to vote in person, when it suits you best.”

The nine-day early voting season runs until Sunday, November 3.

Polling stations are open on weekdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

No appointment is necessary and accommodations will be made for voters with disabilities, the state said.

Every county has in-person voting locations, but it’s important to remember that this may not be the same place you usually cast your vote on Election Day.

To find your early voting location, visit VOTE.NJ.GOV.

If you were planning to vote by mail but now want to vote in person, you have the option to conduct a provisional ballot in person during the early voting period or on Election Day.

You cannot take your ballot with you to your early voting site, the state said. Instead, you can drop your ballot in a secure ballot box or hand-deliver it to your county Electoral Council office before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, Election Day.

You can also leave it by mail, but it must be postmarked by 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5 and received by your county Board of Elections on or before Monday, November 11.
