Early voting kicks off this week in Oklahoma, with four days for voters to cast their ballots in person before Election Day.

But when will Oklahomans be able to see those results? Here’s what you need to know about the election results.

When can I vote early?

In-person early voting begins Wednesday and ends Saturday, just three days before the election.

  • Wednesday, October 30 – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 31 – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Friday, November 1 – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Saturday, November 2 – 8am to 2pm

Where to vote early: Avoid the rush on election day by voting before November 5

When will we see early voting results in Oklahoma?

Although votes will be cast days before the actual election, either through in-person early voting or absentee voting, results cannot be released to the public until 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Once counting begins, results will appear at oklahoma.gov/elections, sorted by absentee ballot, early voting or Election Day voting.

When will we know who will be elected president?

While polls in Oklahoma close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, polls in some states are open later, and some states are even allowing absentee ballots to be returned by mail days after the election.

Because each state has its own rules, there is no guarantee that the election winner will be known that night, or even the next day.

In 2020 — when a record number of voters cast ballots by mail, which can take more time to process — the Associated Press announced President Joe Biden’s victory four days after the election.
