Election night schedule for CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC and more

With Election Day approaching, news networks are expanding their extensive coverage to follow results from across the country as voters cast their ballots on Tuesday.

Coverage will last all day, but when does the main special election coverage start for each network?

NBC Election Day Coverage

NBC News will begin its “Decision 2024” coverage on NBC, NBC News NOW and NBCNews.com beginning at 5:00 PM ET. The network plans to air 24 hours of continuous live coverage on local NBC stations, starting at 5 p.m. ET on Election Day and continuing overnight. Anchors Lester Holt and Savannah Guthrie, along with “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker, Hallie Jackson and Tom Llamas, will lead special reporting starting at 6:30 PM ET.

CNN’s Election Day Coverage

CNN’s “Election Night in America” will air live at 4:00 PM ET, featuring hosts Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper, with analysis from Dana Bash, Erin Burnett and Chris Wallace. John King will be on the network’s signature “Magic Wall,” where he will discuss state-by-state results from the CNN Election Center in Washington, DC and New York City, while Kaitlan Collins and Abby Phillip will report on the campaign of Trump and Harris. headquarters, respectively.

Fox News Election Day Coverage

Fox News plans to begin its “Fox News Democracy 2024” broadcast at 6:00 PM ET. Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will lead reporting as the network provides updates on incoming results. Bill Hemmer will analyze election data on the “Bill-board,” providing viewers with county-by-county insights, and Harris Faulkner will host a live audience segment focusing on voters’ perspectives.

CBS election day coverage

On CBS News, Norah O’Donnell will report live from CBS’ election headquarters in New York City beginning at 7 p.m. ET. She will be joined by Margaret Brennan, John Dickerson, Gayle King and others. CBS correspondents, including Nancy Cordes and Tony Dokoupil, will report live from campaign headquarters in Washington, DC, and West Palm Beach, Florida. Maurice DuBois will analyze the route to 270 electoral votes for each candidate, while Scott MacFarlane will provide updates on the battles in the Senate and House of Representatives.

ABC Election Day Coverage

ABC News has announced that election night programming will begin at 7:00 PM ET. David Muir will moderate the broadcast along with Linsey Davis, Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl. Analysts Donna Brazile, Chris Christie and Reince Priebus will join the ABC team to provide perspectives on key races and battlegrounds.

MSNBC Election Day Coverage

MSNBC’s primetime election coverage, led by Rachel Maddow, begins at 6:00 PM ET. Maddow will be joined by Nicolle Wallace, Joy Reid, Chris Hayes and others from the network’s headquarters in New York City. National Political Correspondent Steve Kornacki will be stationed at the ‘Big Board’ providing timely updates on the state results throughout Tuesday.
