Billionaire Elon Musk joked about pop star Taylor Swift in a post on X, a social media platform he owns, on Wednesday.

“Fine Taylor… you win… I will bear you a child and guard your cats with my life,” Musk wrote.

Musk posted his post after Swift made a viral endorsement of Vice President Harris for president on her Instagram account. Swift captioned her post, “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.”

Swift’s endorsement of Harris came after former President Trump and Harris participated in a debate hosted by ABC News on Tuesday night.

Swift said on Instagram that she will support Harris because “she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to defend them.”

“I did my research and I made my choice. Your research is entirely yours to do and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters, remember that you have to be registered to vote!” Swift wrote to her 283 million followers. “I also find it much easier to vote early. I will link in my story where you can register and where you can find early voting dates and information.”

Swift’s reference to cat ladies was a dig at comments made by Trump’s running mate JD Vance, who said during a 2021 interview: “We’re basically ruled in this country, through the Democrats, through our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are unhappy with their own lives and the choices they’ve made, and who therefore want to make the rest of the country unhappy.”

According to CBS News, Musk has fathered twelve children with different women over the past thirty years.
