It’s been fun to see Matt Ryan make the transition from quarterback to analyst, and I think he’s done a really good job of it. He’ll show those skills tonight during Monday night football when the Falcons take on the Eagles as a guest on ESPN2’s Manningcast, presented by Peyton and Eli Manning.

If you haven’t watched it yet Manningcast but you want an alternative to the standard play-by-play or you really don’t want to listen to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, Manningcast is a great alternative. I was initially worried that it would be too distracting and make it too hard to follow the action in the game, but I was wrong – Peyton and Eli are always completely on top of the game and their commentary is very insightful.

It’s also really funny. Eli forgot he was on camera during the show’s first run and gave it the extended double-bird. The two brothers bicker and poke fun at each other, and they usually have really interesting guests — including Matt Ryan tonight. Also on the show tonight are former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and actor Miles Teller of Top gun: Maverick. Teller is originally from Pennsylvania and is believed to be an Eagles fan.

I understand Falcons fans aren’t too thrilled with any of these guys, especially the guy behind the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history involving the Patriots and another NFC team. I honestly don’t remember, but I imagine it was pretty embarrassing for whatever team that was.

But I promise it will be worth it to see Matt Ryan, who is listed as guest number 3 for the evening. The Manningcast will air on ESPN 2, starting Monday at 8:13 p.m. ET.
