Family Dollar announces a huge 30% off sale before the store closes its doors in just a few days – shopping date

FAMILY Dollar has announced an incredible 30% off store closing sale before a location closes in just a few days.

Shoppers have been dealt a huge blow after the decision was made to close the branch, despite it only being renovated months ago.

The Family Dollar store on North Main Street in Dayton, Ohio, has officially posted closing signs on its doors.

The signs have shocked many, as the store has been known as a busy and beloved shopping hotspot for years.

But a silver lining when it comes to the shutdown is the 20% discount currently on items, which should last a full week.

The store is then expected to offer discounts of as much as 30%, the store says, and will continue to do so for an entire week.

After this, there would be another week of sales, which will further reduce costs for customers during the Family Dollar’s final week of operation.

Riverdale Neighborhood Association spokesperson Victoria McNeal said she was surprised by the store’s closure.

“There are people coming from across the bridge, River Commons, the Five Oaks neighborhood, Main Street,” she told local CBS affiliate WHIO-TV.

“So it is a heavily visited store.”

The exact closing date has yet to be announced to disappointed customers.

Several customers told WHIO-TV they felt the store was in great shape after it was renovated last year.

The owners also decided to revamp the outdoor parking lot, shoppers say.

“So we scratched our heads: ‘Why renovate if you’re going to close?’ McNeal added.

Some people have suggested the store is closing due to a sharp increase in shoplifting in recent months, which is impacting business.

But McNeal believes that while petty theft may have played a role, cash issues are likely the bigger problem.

“People probably steal, but that can’t be the whole reason why you’re closing,” she said.

“I think it’s staff maintenance and maybe pay as well.”

Shoppers don’t have to travel far to reach the nearest store Family dollar store as there are 25 other locations in Montgomery County.

The nearest store is less than 10 minutes away in the Riverdale area.

In recent months, the chain has announced thousands of closures due to financial problems.

Family Dollar, which has about 8,000 locations nationwide, has faced ongoing difficulties since being acquired by Dollar Tree in 2015 for $8.5 billion.

The acquisition was intended to help Dollar Tree compete with larger rivals, but integration has been difficult.

In May, Family Dollar shoppers in Buffalo, New York lost six stores at once.

Many residents in the area are considered low-income and have difficulty shopping in many of the higher-end stores that are common in the area.

They said they were distraught by the closures and unsure how they would now find affordable shopping in the city future.

One of the last stores to close was in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Alcohol and tobacco could be purchased at 20% off in the last few weeks of business before the South Minnesota Avenue store closed its doors for the final time in September.

At least $1,000 stores must close, CEO says

Dollar Tree, the parent company of Family Dollar, announced that it will close approximately 1,000 stores in the coming years.

The company announced in March it would close stores after the discount retailer it acquired nearly a decade ago plummeted in value.

Dollar Tree plans to close about 600 Family Dollar stores in the first half of this year.

This will be followed by the closure of 370 Family Dollar and 30 Dollar Tree stores in the coming years.

The discount store chain has also indicated that sales are being affected by the cost of living crisis and inflation.

But USA Today added that Dollar Tree is also shocked by the reduced government benefits for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

This has left families struggling to manage finances, losing as much as $250 per month.
