FanDuel Plays and Strategy for Wednesday, November 20

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA has eight games scheduled for Wednesday, and we’ll discuss our favorite FanDuel recommendations in today’s article. The action kicks off at 7:30 PM ET, and FanDuel’s main contest is the $15 $300K NBA Clutch Shot, with $100k guaranteed for the first.

SLATE OVERVIEW

Visit RotoWire’s for the latest spreads and over-unders NBA Odds page. There you can also find player props, futures, picks items and sportsbook bonus codes.

CHI/MIL wins the race tonight for the projected total, but the pace of the ATL/GSW matchup also stands out. There are some potential blowout scenarios where you might want to consider more budget flyers, with NOPCLE and NYK/PHX serving as the best examples.

INJURIES

Visit RotoWire’s for the latest updates NBA Injury News page and our extensive NBA Injury Report. Below are some of Wednesday’s most recent and relevant injuries. Please note that this is not a complete list. Use common sense when evaluating persistent injury scenarios elsewhere on the list.

ATL Jalen Johnson (leg) – Doubtful

During the previous game Zacharie Risacher ($5,000) took Johnson’s spot in the lineup at power forward, moving Garrison Mathews to the first unit. Mathews didn’t do much, but you can expect a slight bump for Risacher and Bogdan Bogdanovic ($4,600)who is working at full speed again.

PHO Kevin Durant (calf) – OUT

PHO Bradley Beal (calf) – OUT

PHO Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) – Doubtful

Phoenix has been stuck in this scenario for a while and has lost four games in a row as a result. A start would go to Mason Plumlee ($4,800) if Nurkic doesn’t make it. I would also expect greater production from Oso Ighodaro ($4,700), Josh Okogie ($5,100) And Grayson Allen ($4,400).

MEM Yes Morant (hip) -OFF

MEM Zach Edey (single) – OFF

MEM Marcus Slim (disease) – OFF

MEM Vince Williams (ankle) – Doubtful

The Grizzlies need help to stay healthy. I prefer Desmond Bane ($7,500) as the top producer here, with Scotty Pippen ($5,700) offering value as a budget option.

PHI Tyrese Maxey (hamstring) – Doubtful

Jared McCain ($6,500) will start again with Kyle Lowry (hip) also out, although his salary is starting to increase significantly.

NO C.J. McCollum (thigh) – Doubtful

NO Zion Williamson (hamstring) – OFF

NO Herbert Jones (shoulder) – OUT

NO Jordan Hawkins (back) – OFF

NO Jose Alvarado (hamstring) – OFF

Getting McCollum back would be great news for the depleted Pelicans, but if he plays he could be on a minutes restriction. Trey Murphy ($5,900) is my favorite budget pivot in this place.

IND Myles Turner (calf) – Doubtful

If Turner misses, I’ll pay more attention Pascal Siakam ($7,600) instead of Turner’s immediate replacement, Enrique Freeman.

LAC Norman Powell (hamstring) – OFF

A productive budget pivot is hard to find here, but Amir Coffee ($4,200) comes close.

POR Deandre Ayton (finger) – Doubtful

POR Anfernee Simons (disease) – Doubtful

Scot Henderson ($5,200) will start when Simons is out. I have less confidence in Robert Williams and Donovan Clingan, as the two have stolen each other’s fantasy potential with Williams healthy.

ELITE PLAYERS

The slate features three players with salaries over 10,000. Joel Embid ($10,400) And Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,700) are both available again, and I’d like to include a flyer on Embiid in some GPPs. It doesn’t seem like he has any minor limitations, but he would need to drop 50 FDFP to be viable.

Karl-Anthony Cities ($9,300) catches my attention in the 9k range as he continues to knock down double-doubles, though he lacks the double-eligibility benefit. There’s more to offer in the 8k range, with Alperen Sengun ($8,500) emerges as a solid option if Myles Turner misses. Jalen Brunson‘s ($8,800) salary is also reasonable.

Also consider: Damian LillardMIL ($8,400) vs. CHI

FORECASTED CHALK AND OTHER OBJECTIVES

Evan MobleyCLE ($7,800) vs. NOP

It is Cleveland’s advantage against the Pelicans, who have holes in their roster. Mobley has recorded back-to-back double-doubles after a brief absence and should be able to capitalize in the paint. I encourage a universal first-unit endorsement for the Cavs, even if some of them aren’t directly mentioned here.

Jos HartNYK ($7,200) @ PHX

Hart has a rhythm where it pops up 40 times, then backs off and pops up again. He hit the low end in his last game, and I like the game against the shorthanded Suns. The Knicks should be able to beat Phoenix here, which is why they are my favorite team to root for. We already mentioned Towns and Brunson, but OG Anunoby ($6,800) also deserves mention.

Draymond GreenGSW ($6,200) vs. ATL

It may sound like a broken record going back to Green over and over again, but he gives us exactly what we need at this low salary. You can get him in three slots, although I think we have better options in the center tonight.

Tari EasonHOU ($6,400) vs. IND

I admit I haven’t looked at Eason’s line much, but if you zoom in deeper you’ll see an interesting trend. He performs consistently in every major category and provides multiple opportunities to put fantasy points on the board every night. A limited roster is a pretty likely outcome for Eason, and we also have a four-slot advantage for him.

Also consider: Zach LaVineCHI ($7,300) @ MIL

VALUE PLAYS

We offer a huge section dedicated to injuries, and you’ll find most of our favorite values and alternative goals above. Finally, I will search the sub-6k pool and provide some preferred options for each position.

PG (SG) Chris DunnLAC ($4,800) vs. ORL

SG (SF) Toumani CamaraPOR ($5,300) @ OKC

SF (PF) Jonathan IsaacORL ($4,600) @ LAC

PF/C Onyeka OkongwuATL ($5,100) @ GSW

c Yves MissiNOP ($4,900) @ CLE
