FBI raids multi-million dollar Aventura mansion; ‘court-ordered’ raid linked to Los Angeles investigation, officials say – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

AVENTURA, FLA. (WSVN) – – A South Florida mansion is the focus of a raid conducted by the FBI that may be connected to an investigation on the other side of the country.

Federal officials conducted the raid early Wednesday morning in Aventura, inside the Williams Island guard gates and within the gated community of Island Estates.

Law enforcement officers were seen outside a home on Island Estates Drive.

Residents woke up when FBI agents ordered all residents of the home to come out with their hands raised over a loudspeaker.

“All residents of 3914 Island Estates Drive, this is the FBI. We have a search warrant for this home. All residents of the home are exiting the front door with your hands up at this time,” the FBI agent said.

7News has obtained cell phone video showing a bird’s eye view of Williams Island, which captures the lights of multiple federal and local law enforcement vehicles outside the home.

Another video shows police boats in the water near the home.

On Wednesday, 7News contacted the FBI. An agency spokesperson responded:

“I can confirm that the FBI is in the vicinity of that location and is conducting court-ordered law enforcement activities in connection with an investigation by the FBI’s LA office. LA is tentatively scheduling a press conference on this matter for Thursday at 10am PST.”

Federal Bureau of Investigation

Aventura police confirmed this was an FBI raid.

As of Wednesday evening, the FBI has not provided any additional details about their investigation or possible subjects.

7News will provide more details after Thursday’s scheduled news conference at 1 p.m
