‘Fire Country’ fans just got a big episode update from Diane Farr

Fire country makes some big moves in season 3, and one of them involves none other than Mama Leone herself.

The hit CBS drama currently airs new episodes on Friday nights, and the show unveiled an incredible update featuring actress Diane Farr. For the Nov. 1 episode (airing at 9 p.m. ET), she won’t just be playing her character Sharon Leone — she’ll also be taking on the role of director. What’s more, Fire country made sure to spotlight the latest move in Diane’s TV career by posting a behind-the-scenes look at what’s to come on Instagram.

“This Friday @GetDianeFarr makes her directorial debut on @Firecountrycbs!” the caption was on October 26th. “#behindthescenes photos at #smokeys, Station 42, the Leone Kitchen and the #director’s office taken by cinematographer @whelan.stewart. Our #femalefilmmakerfriday comes November 1 at 9pm/8c @cbstv.”

Upon seeing Diane’s incredible milestone with Fire countryit didn’t take long for fans to fan the flames of excitement on social media.

“Congratulations!!! This season is on fire!!! 🔥🔥,” one person wrote in the comments. “Mama Leone is taking charge! I can’t wait to see it!” another stated. “This is going to be so good!!!” added another viewer.

What exactly should Diane’s directorial debut be about? According to Colliderthe episode is titled “Welcome to the Cult” and follows Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) as he begins his first day as a cadet at Cal Fire. Plus, the stakes are high as Jake Crawford (Jordan Calloway) discovers a remnant of how Bode and Gabriela Perez (Stephanie Arcila) made a mistake trying to save Tom “Gil” Gilmore (Paul Moniz de Sa)’s life in the season 3 premiere.

And if that’s not enough, Diane may have more to do than just direct. When speaking with Women’s world back in September, she teased that there’s more on the way for Sharon that she’s particularly excited about.

“I’m so proud of the real-life experiences the writers are bringing to my character, Sharon, this season!” she told the outlet. “There’s a crisis coming that I’ve experienced myself, and she’s going straight to it, just like she lights a fire – like I try to do in my life. I hope the story ultimately inspires others to ask for help when they need it. It.”

We are certainly intrigued!
