Former Colorado apartment complex resident says Gov. Polis ‘wouldn’t survive five minutes’ against armed gangs

Cindy Romero, a former resident of an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado, joined America Reports on Friday to fire back at Gov. Jared Polis (D).

Romero left her apartment on Wednesday after an armed gang of migrants linked to Tren de Aragua took over her building, video evidence is available.

On Thursday, Polis told the New York Post through spokeswoman Shelby Wieman: “The governor has already informed the mayor that the state is prepared to support local law enforcement with assistance from state police and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, if needed.”

“But according to police intelligence, this alleged invasion was largely a product of Danielle Jurinsky’s imagination,” Wieman added.

Romero responded to Gov. Polis by saying, “You can’t make a fake video and Polis wouldn’t last five minutes on that property.”

“They don’t want to admit that they are part of the problem. It’s the government that we count on to make the rules for us, to make the guidelines that we follow. I call 911. No help comes for me. No help.”

“There’s no, mass, amount of police showing up to make sure we’re defended. No one showed up to help me. I didn’t have a bulletproof vest. There weren’t five officers showing up when there was a problem. We were on our own and we were left to fend for ourselves,” Romero added.

Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman believes “the situation is real, but it also needs to be put into context,” he said in an exclusive statement shared with Fox News Digital.

New surveillance footage from the Romeros’ apartment building shows more alleged gang activity in the parking lot, with gunmen pointing their weapons at someone driving a car.

The video quickly went viral on X and currently has over 75,000 views.
