Former Oregon Ducks star says ‘I’m not done yet’ after tying rookie record with Denver Broncos

Bo Nix led the Denver Broncos to a 33-10 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday. The rookie has won four of his first seven games and the Broncos are now 4-3 on the season, their best record after seven games in a single season since 2016.

Nix’s four wins also put him next to one of the Broncos’ greatest players in franchise history. Nix tied the Broncos’ franchise record for most wins by a starting quarterback in a season. He is tied with Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, who earned his fourth win in Week 15 during the 1983 season. Drew Lock also won four games during the 2019 season.

“It means a lot,” Nix told reporters after the game. “You’re talking about one of the greats who ever did this at our organization. It means a lot. You are in good company. I’m not done yet. We still have a lot to look forward to, so I certainly don’t want to stop there. We are going to keep getting better as a team. I’m going to continue to grow and learn as a player. Hopefully we will continue to achieve victories in this way.”

The Broncos have ten games left on the schedule, so it’s not a matter of if, but when Nix will break the rookie record.
