The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback situation has been a disaster so far this season. Deshaun Watson disappointed fans again with his subpar performances before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury, while Jameis Winston has been a rollercoaster since taking over.

Even as Browns fans across the country grapple with this debacle at the sport’s most important position, one former player says the Browns “have already found their QB.”

On a recent episode of “The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show,” former player Shaun King said, “You can’t tell me you watched the New Orleans Saints game and Jameis didn’t look like one of the top 15 quarterbacks to play played the game. of football at the moment. Forget the outcome.”

King said Winston Jerry Jeudy looks like an explosive downfield threat and Elijah Moore looks like he deserves a new contract as well, adding that the team could turn its attention elsewhere on the roster if he signs Winston into a Gardner Minshew-like deal would give.

Winston had a strong performance against the Saints, going 30-for-46 for 395 yards and two touchdowns without turning the ball over.

Taking care of the ball was a priority after throwing three interceptions and taking six sacks the previous game, and he did just that.

Few have gone so far as to say Jameis should be the starter next year, but he’s been more good than bad so far and has clearly added an element of explosiveness to this offense that Watson couldn’t provide.
