Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira full results: Ngannou wins by brutal KO at PFL Battle of the Giants

Francis Ngannou needed just over a minute to tackle Renan Ferreira to the ground and just a few more minutes to land the heavy shots that put the Brazilian to sleep at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou’s journey back to the top of the MMA mountain was not without some hardships, as “The Predator” had not fought in MMA since January 2022 and was violently knocked out by Anthony Joshua in his second boxing fight earlier this year. He also lost his 15-month-old son to a rare disease. But Saturday marked his return to the top of the sport he dominated for years.

In the co-main event, MMA legend Cris Cyborg continued her dominance with another title win in yet another MMA promotion. Cyborg earned a unanimous decision victory over two-time PFL tournament champion Larissa Pacheco to win the PFL Women’s Featherweight Super Fighting Championship.

Pacheco didn’t make things easy for Cyborg, however, opening cuts above both of her eyes with some damaging blows early in the fight. Despite the cuts and subsequent blood clouding her vision, Cyborg’s brutal attack, combined with timely takedowns and bullying attacks, gave her the clear advantage throughout the five rounds. She has now won title belts with Strikeforce, Bellator, Invicta, UFC and the PFL. At 39 years old, Cyborg’s long reign at the top of the sport may be nearing the finish line, but her legacy as one of MMA’s best female fighters can no longer be questioned.

Here’s how all the action unfolded:
