    Freeze advisory in effect for Thursday morning in Summit County

    There will be frost for a night or two.

    The National Weather Service says frost and even frost is possible Thursday morning across much of northern Ohio.

    A frost advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday for all Summit and Stark counties, where temperatures are expected to drop to 33 degrees.

    A freeze warning is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Medina, Wayne and Ashland counties, where overnight lows are expected to be 31 degrees.

    The weather service warns that such low temperatures can kill crops and other sensitive plants and even damage plumbing.

    “Take steps now to protect vulnerable plants from the cold,” the weather service urges.

    Another cold night is expected from Thursday to Friday morning.

    Things are expected to dry out and warm up this weekend, with highs expected in the 70s.

    Wednesday evening: Chance of showers, especially before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. Light northwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of a centimeter possible.

    Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Calm wind becoming northwesterly around 5 mph in the afternoon.

    Thursday evening: Some frost after 5am. Otherwise mostly clear, with a low around 34. Calm winds.

    Friday: Patchy frost before 9am. Otherwise sunny, with a high near 65 degrees. Calm wind.

    Friday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

    Saturday: Local frost between 7am and 8am. Otherwise sunny, with highs around 70 degrees.

    Saturday evening: Clear, with a low in the low 40s.

    Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

    Sunday evening: Clear, with a low around 43.

    Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73.

    Monday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

    Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
