Front is passing through the Heuvelland this morning

HALLOWEEN SUGGESTED HIGHLIGHTS
  • THIS MORNING: A front will slowly move from the Hill Country to near San Antonio, with isolated showers and a few storms possible

  • AFTERNOON: Rain chances begin to decrease as the front lingers along Highway 90

  • THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING: While a shower or storm cannot be ruled out, rain chances are slim for trick-or-treat time. Temperatures will be in the low 80s.

PREDICTION

Good morning and Happy Halloween! A front is currently pushing through the Hill Country and it will continue to move south toward San Antonio. It should arrive mid-morning by noon. Showers and a few storms are possible along the front, but as the rain moves south it will weaken. Rain chances in San Antonio will be around 30%, especially during the first half of the day. Despite the front, temperatures will still reach 80 degrees this afternoon. Expect a strong east and northeast wind.

The front is expected to stall just south of San Antonio. With the front all around, a shower or storm cannot be ruled out. However, rain chances are low during trick-or-treating hours. Expect mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 80s during this time.

Shower activity may increase again tonight as the front changes course and moves back north. Rain chances remain Friday, along with mostly cloudy skies. The weekend should be fairly quiet before a stronger front arrives Monday through Tuesday. This front will also bring a broken line of showers and storms. Temperatures on Tuesday will drop into the 70s, while lows on Wednesday could dip into the mid 50s!
