Giants-Commanders inactive: RB Brian Robinson Jr. does not play for Commanders

The key inactive player in Sunday’s New York Giants-Washington Commanders game is not a Giant. It’s Washington running back Brian Robinson Jr. The Commandant’s leading rusher will miss the game due to a hamstring injury.

Robinson had a season-high 133 yards rushing on 17 carries in the Commanders’ Week 2 21-18 win over the Giants. Robinson trained ahead of the game but apparently did not feel healthy enough to play.

For the Giants, punter Jamie Gillan will miss a fourth straight game with a left hamstring injury. Matt Haack will kick again.

Wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton (Achilles) will be inactive. Ford-Wheaton is a key contributor to the special team. Linebacker Ty Summers, another key special teams contributor who missed last week’s game due to an ankle injury, will play.
