Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Gladiator 2 will premiere in major theaters soon, but fans have a chance to see it early.

Legendary director Ridley Scott’s film Gladiator II continues the story of power, intrigue and revenge set in ancient Rome, according to promotional materials.

Years after witnessing the death of hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (played by Paul Mescal) is forced into the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical emperors who now rule Rome with an iron fist. With anger in his heart and the future of the empire at stake, Lucius must look to his past to find strength and honor to return the glory of Rome to his people.

Win two tickets to the Gladiator 2 preview

El Paso Times readers can enter their names for a chance to win a pair of tickets to Gladiator 2 by emailing [email protected] before 3 p.m. on Monday, November 18. The tickets are made available through a partnership with H&M Communications.

The winners will be selected and notified in a random draw before 6:00 PM on Monday, November 18. Use the hashtag #GladiatorII and tag yourself at the screening.

The film will be shown on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 PM at Cinemark Tinseltown 20, 11855 Gateway Blvd., in Auditorium No. 1. Winners must arrive one hour early at 6:30 PM.

Gladiator 2 popcorn bucket details

Cinemark joined the Gladiator 2 popcorn trend with an exclusive offer. The cinema chain sells popcorn buckets in the shape of the Colosseum in Rome. They retail for $22.99 plus tax, but online the theater shows they are sold out.

After the popcorn bucket is emptied, those with Cinemark’s Gladiator 2 AR-ENA Coliseum bucket can scan a QR code on the base, which will “bring the Coliseum to life” by activating an augmented reality experience (according to Cinemark).

Regal Theaters unveils Gladiator 2 popcorn bucket

Regal unveiled its Gladiator 2 popcorn buckets, which are shaped to reflect Maximus’ signature helmet he wears in the arena from the first film. The helmet acts as a lid on the bucket, which can be opened or closed.

Regal Theaters also offers a collectible cup to match the popcorn can with a gladiator helmet topper.
