Grayson Allen out for Lakers-Suns game, Bradley Beal available

LOS ANGELES – Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen will miss Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to personal reasons.

He and his wife Morgan are expecting their first child.

Allen was with the team for the morning shootout at UCLA, but he is back in Phoenix. He played in the season opener for the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday after missing the last four preseason games.

Allen was dealing with a sore right Achilles and scored eight points in 21 minutes of Wednesday’s 116-113 win over the Clippers.

Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said Friday that rookie forward Ryan Dunn and veteran point guard Monte Morris will get more minutes in Allen’s absence.

Bradley Beal will play after being reported as likely having soreness in his right shoulder following a bad fall against the Clippers. He finished with 24 points on Wednesday, seven of which came in overtime.

Josh Okogie remains out with a right hamstring strain.
