The staff predictions have just been released, so now it’s time to hear what you, the fans and readers of Hammer and Rails, think about this weekend’s game against Oregon State.

But first! Don’t get too excited about that question, because we’re checking everyone’s confidence after the game against Notre Dame. It was a beating, that’s for sure, but a loss is a loss. Did that affect your win-loss total for the season? Let’s take a look.

A whopping 75% of respondents said that the loss to Notre Dame affected and lowered their predicted win total for the season. That was about what I expected. The manner in which Purdue lost was just too much to ignore for many people, myself included. I’d like to speak to the 1% of respondents who said it increased their predicted win total for the season. First, are you okay? Second, do you smell burnt toast? If so, I think you may be having a stroke and need immediate help.

What do fans predict will happen tomorrow night?

Only 24% of respondents think Purdue will leave Oregon State with a win. It could have been worse. I would have expected maybe 10%.
