How Erin Andrews is Dealing with the Future as Her Fox Contract Expires

Erin Andrews has one goal for the 2024 NFL season.

The veteran NFL reporter said she is enjoying her time on the sidelines as her contract with Fox Sports expires after this season.

“I think my goal is always kind of the same as it was last year. Enjoy it, because it doesn’t last forever, especially when your contract is up — and that’s the case for me,” Andrews, 46, said with a laugh during the latest episode of her and Charissa Thompson’s “Calm Down” podcast.

Andrews “quietly” re-signed with Fox on a three-year deal, she revealed on the SI Media Podcast in July 2022.

The Wear by EA founder will be a free agent for the 2025 season unless she re-signs with Fox Sports.

“Contract year, great!” said Thompson, who hosts Fox NFL Kickoff, the lead-in show to Fox NFL Sunday, in addition to the Prime Video “Thursday Night Football” pregame show.

“So, contract year, election year, and what else happens?” Andrews said.

“I feel like I always get so panicked an hour before (match day) that I try to recite some of (the information) and get it in my head so it’s easy to say. I’m not so good at that now.

“I think I always try to be really good in preparation.”

Andrews and Thompson, who are best friends outside of their respective careers, discussed her contract while answering fan questions on their Tuesday podcast “Pregame,” which is a prelude to their full episodes, which air every Thursday.

The former ESPN reporter has opened up about her exciting time at Fox Sports, where she currently covers games with Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady, who made his debut as Fox’s lead NFL analyst during the Cowboys’ 33-17 win over the Browns in Week 1.

Brady, who signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox in 2022, replaced Greg Olsen, who now joins Joe Davis on the second-best broadcast team.

Andrews spoke candidly last week in a separate episode of her and Thompson’s podcast “Calm Down” about her struggle to find her “groove” for the start of the 2024 season.

Fox Sports will broadcast Super Bowl 2025 live from New Orleans.
