How Much Snow Did NY, NJ Get? – NBC New York

Some residents of the three states woke up Friday to an inch or more of snow.

While most of the immediate New York City area, some cities north and west of the city, especially at higher elevations, saw the first accumulating snow of the season. There were some school closures and delays due to the snow conditions, with a reporter from NBC New York describing the snow-covered roads in Monticello as “treacherous.”

Here’s how much snow (and rain) cities and towns from North Jersey to Ulster County received.

Please note that these totals are for Friday morning, with some additional light accumulation possible. This map shows the additional possible snow that could be received.

  • High point: 10.9 inches.
  • West Milford: 7.5 inches.
  • Wantage Township: 3.3 inches.
