The Golden State Warriors play their fifth preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. The game will be played in Las Vegas at 7:00 PM PT and can be viewed on NBA TV and NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

Golden State defeated the Detroit Pistons 111-93 on Sunday to improve to a perfect 4-0 this preseason. Despite the absences of Steph Curry and Draymond Green, the Warriors won after another strong shooting performance as they hit 18 of their 39 attempts from beyond the three-point line. Buddy Hield led the charge off the bench, knocking down four triples for twelve points in just fourteen minutes.

On the defensive side, the Warriors impressed with their young players bringing energy, hustle and athleticism to that end of the floor.

What to pay attention to tonight:

Curry and Green are expected to return Tuesday night against the Lakers after completing Sunday’s game. Meanwhile, Brandin Podziemski will be sidelined after suffering a broken nose in the third quarter of the Pistons game.

However, the main storyline for tonight is the return of Andrew Wiggins. The Warriors wing, who has been absent since the start of training camp due to an illness, has increased his practice activities over the past week and is expected to make his preseason debut.

It will be intriguing to see how head coach Steve Kerr integrates Wiggins into the rotation. Kerr said he sees Wiggins as the team’s primary defender while taking on a more substantial offensive role. While this could ultimately mean a spot in the starting lineup, the team could ultimately decide to bring him back for their final “dress rehearsal” game of the preseason against the Lakers on Friday.
