Ahead of this Saturday’s Juice WRLD tribute concert, Fortnite is releasing one free “Slayer” Juice WRLD skin, plus back bling, a pickaxe, and wallpaper, which you can claim now. Well, you can claim it, you can’t actually use it. Yes, it’s weird.

What’s happening for some reason is that Fortnite has set this up so that if you log in now, you’ll be eligible for the Juice WRLD skin, which will then be delivered to you the next day. In this case, if you log in now, it will appear tomorrow when you log in again.

This offer is good for five days until 10pm ET on Saturday, November 30, after which you won’t be able to get it, and it’s unknown if it will be sold at some point in the future.

It’s really weird that they do it this way instead of just giving it to players at login. I have no idea what the plan is here or why they would distribute it this way, but for those who knew the skin dropped on November 25th today, I can understand why you would be confused. As far as I know, there isn’t even an indication upon logging in that you are now eligible for a skin birth the next day.

This is one of two Juice WRLD skins arriving for the event, which takes place on Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 PM ET. The other is sold in stores and is not a cell-shaded version, but rather a version similar to the gigantic Juice WRLD that you can already see on the map. I wonder where the profits from that skin go, hopefully to his family? It’s certainly an unusual situation, but here’s how Fortnite threw the show when it was announced for the Remix Finals:

“Chapter 2 Remix ends on a special note: watch the Remix: The Finale live event on November 30 at 2pm ET! To honor Juice’s legacy and love for Fortnite, all players who log in between 1 AM ET on November 30 and 1 AM ET on December 1 will receive the cel-shaded Slayer Juice WRLD Outfit*. Stay tuned for more details on the celebration of Juice WRLD and Remix: The Finale later this month.”

As you can see, that old blog post said the Slayer skin was supposed to be delivered on the same day, but according to Epic, it has since changed to this five-day login system. This seems like a bit of a cluster, but the point is that if you log in now, you get the skin. Just not right away.
