How to watch and stream week five of the 2024-2025 NFL season live online, free without cable: Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN

Last week, three NFL teams found themselves on the losing side for the first time this season, leaving only the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings with perfect records. This week, both face cross-conference play with a 2-2 team, putting the odds in their favor to keep those series going.

However, records aren’t everything. The Washington Commanders may be 3-1, but rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels might be the league’s most exciting player this year. And the Denver Broncos may only be 2-2, but there are already rumblings that this could be the team’s year for a playoff berth, given the team’s back-to-back setbacks along the way.

Planning a weekend full of football fun? There are several ways to do this. Please note that you will need to get up early as the first game is at 9:30am. Here’s everything you need to know about this week’s games.

Which NFL teams are playing this week? And on which channels are the games broadcast?

The Jets and the Vikings kick off in London on Sunday morning, which means fans will have to skip church and get up early (especially on the West Coast) to catch the action. As always, the home team is in second place.

How can I watch NFL games for free even when I’m not in the market?

The best way to watch any kind of network programming on a big screen for free is with a good HD antenna. To ensure you get the most reliable signal, test the antenna in multiple locations around your home.

Can I stream 2024 NFL games live online if I don’t have a cable subscription?

There are several ways to do this.

Biggest+

CBS’s streaming service gives you a one-week free trial, followed by a monthly fee of $8 or $13. (An annual subscription currently costs just $30.)

Peacock

NBC’s streaming service gives you access to several games, including all upcoming Sunday night matches. It comes with a monthly fee of $8 or $14 — and the service recently did away with its free trial. (The free version of Peacock does not include live sports.)

Disney+

Disney’s Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle no longer has a free trial, so you’ll have to pay $17 per month for all three together (or $30 per month if there are no ads on Hulu).

If you include Live TV in the bundle, the price rises to $77 per month ($90 without ads).

Hulu with live TV

The free trial of this service lasts three days. After that, it will cost you $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After a free trial, you can expect a monthly fee of $73.

Sling TV

Dish Network’s Sling lower “Orange” plan will run you $40 per month. Adding the more comprehensive ‘Blue’ plan increases the cost to $55 per month. The seven-day free trial is unfortunately gone.

DirectTV stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow, and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service will cost you $80 per month and more after the free trial option. (The package that includes NFL Network costs $99 per month.)

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service serves broadcast networks in most markets. There’s a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly fees of $80 and up, depending on the channels you choose.

Can I watch NFL games on Amazon?

Yes, but not on Sundays. Amazon is home to Thursday Night Football, with the exception of Thanksgiving (although a game airs on Black Friday). The first game on Amazon this year will be the San Francisco 49ers versus the Seattle Seahawks on October 10.

Does the NFL offer viewing packages to watch the games I want?

Yes. Three of them.

NFL App

The NFL App you can stream games that air locally in your market on Sundays. If you want to check out a game that isn’t on the market, you have two choices.

NFL+

Watch live local and out-of-market games and (with the premium subscription) replays. You’re looking at a $50 fee per season. ($100 for premium.)

NFL Sunday Ticket

YouTube is once again the home for this channel. Pricing this year starts at $73 per month for Sunday Ticket and YouTubeTV or $449 for Sunday Ticket only (for all of the out-of-market games this season).
