Lifelong The Ruby Franke Story tells the true story of six adorable children, a loving husband and Ruby Franke (Emilie Ullerup) who formed “8 Passengers,” a web series documenting the group’s daily lives and Ruby’s LDS-influenced parenting style.

For viewers, Ruby had the perfect life, but everything took a turn for the worse when Ruby’s marriage counselor Jodi Hildebrandt (Heather Locklear) entered their lives. After Jodi moves in with Ruby, the environment becomes toxic and Ruby’s husband is forced to move.

Jodi and Ruby’s views on disciplining children were not “strict parenting” but actual abuse. However, when Ruby’s 12-year-old son escaped from Ruby and Jodi’s real-life horror house with obvious signs of abuse, the truth finally came to light.
