The 2024 World Series showdown between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees kicks off Friday – a clash between two coasts and two rosters of star-studded players.

The matchup features the 2024 titans of the National and American Leagues, along with Major League Baseball’s most talented players, in two storied franchises with historic baseball legacies.

It will be the twelfth time these teams have met in the World Series, the most of any two teams in the league. It also marks the first appearance in the Fall Classic for two previous MVP winners who are favored to win it again: Aaron Judge of the Yankees and Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers.

New York and Los Angeles are the two largest markets in the MLB, and the Yankees and Dodgers entered the season with the second and fifth largest payrolls in the sport, respectively.

Game 1 will be played Friday at 8:08 PM ET/5:08 PM PT at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. All subsequent games also start at that time and air on Fox.
