Authorities closed off the area near the 6800 block of Sunset Strip NW Monday afternoon due to police activity.

I-77 was shut down but has reopened.

According to Jackson Township police, the U.S. Marshals Service is conducting an “enforcement operation” in the area.

The following roads are closed:

• Sunset Strip NW between Eagle Circle NW to the north
• Avenue NW stop heading west
• Portage Street SW looking south

Roads will be closed until further notice.
A News 5 viewer took photos of police armed with guns and what appears to be a SWAT vehicle.
