Rochester, NY – Crisp, cool air from late October returned to our region Thursday afternoon. High pressure will pass over us on Thursday night and Friday morning. The coldest night of weather will typically occur below the center of high pressure. Frost advisories apply to the northern provinces until Friday morning. Counties in the south have already experienced a few frosty nights, so their growing season is over.

The coldest air will occur between 6 and 7 a.m. Friday morning, when temperatures will drop below 30 degrees in some towns further away from the lake.

Looking ahead to the last weekend of October, cool air and wind will continue on both weekend days. The chance of rain is very low and Sunday looks to be the sunniest day.
