Indiana Pacers at Orlando Magic odds, picks and predictions

The Indiana Pacers (5-5) take on the Orlando magic (6-6) Wednesday at Kia Center. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM ET. Let’s round up BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds Pacers vs. Magic chances and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: 1-1 draw

The Pacers won three of four in a 132-121 shootout against the New York Knicks on Sunday. G Tyrese Haliburton has shaken off his early-season shooting woes, dropping 35 points and 14 dimes. F Benedict Mathurin 38 points and 8 boards eliminated. Add C Myles Turner dropping 26 on 5-for-8 shooting from 3-point land, and that’s a recipe not many opponents can overcome.

The Magic have won three in a row after losing to these Pacers 118-111 on November 6. They clipped the wings of the Charlotte Hornets in a 114-89 drubbing on Tuesday night. They fight and grind without their best player in F Paolo Banchero (oblique), which stays out for this one. F Franz Wagner had 32 points, 8 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals.

Pacers at Magic picks and predictions

Prediction

Pacers 119, Magic 116

Moneyline

It’s a bit surprising to see a Magic team without its best player on the back end of a back-to-back in a pick ’em against a team that has dropped 132+ in half of their last six games . So I like the Pacers here, but the spread is more prolific.

Take instead BENNEDICT MATHURIN OVER 26.5 POINTS+REBOUNDS+ASSISTS (-120). He has 20+ points in 3 straight games.

Against the spread

Take the PACERS ALTERNATE SPREAD -1.5 (+110) here. The Magic got them 119-115 in this building on Oct. 28, but that was during Haliburton’s shooting woes and Banchero dropped 50. Neither plays a role now.

Top/Bottom

Both meetings between these teams went by and both totals were higher than this one. Indy is 7-3 O/U in the last 10, and Orlando has only had 1 Over cash in the last 6. The question is can Indiana score enough to tip this Over, and I think that’s obvious is.

Take the MORE THAN 223.5 (-110).
